Scope:
Construction consists of a new 40,000 sq. ft. school and renovation of 20,000 sq. ft. of existing church property. The new building will have an auditorium and stage, gymnasium, science labs, a computer lab, and a language lab. It will also include a reheating kitchen, cafeteria, library media center, music room, art room, and a special education resource room.

Challenges:
Time schedule is limited. It's a cast in place concrete structure with a complicated mechanical system. The site is an urban neighborhood which means parking and logistics are restricted. R2D will need to maintain the integrity of the existing church organ for future use in the school, and with this in mind, Worthington Hooker will be the only school in the State of Connecticut to have a working organ.
